Unit Leaders and OA Points of Contact for the Toqua District
Please download an information package relating to Order of the Arrow
unit elections for 2007. Please review this information as soon as you
have a chance so that we can confirm scheduling of elections and arrange
for election teams to assist with them.
 2007 OA Election Info
In particular, please review the candidacy qualifications for both
boys and adults (persons 21 and older).
The following are important dates relative to this effort:
Jan 11 @ 7
pm: training for election teams. This will be conducted during the
regular Toqua OA meeting at Concord United Methodist Church in Farragut.
The training is very important for new election team members, and is
valuable as a refresher for those who have helped conduct elections in
the past.
Jan 25 @ 7 pm: a second opportunity for election training,
again at Concord United Methodist Church
Mar 30: absolute deadline for
receipt of applications for adult candidates for the OA. The Spring
Fellowship will be held that weekend, and at that time adult
applications will be reviewed and acted on.
May 4 - 6: Spring Camporee.
The callout ceremony for candidates (boys and adults) will be held
during the campfire on Saturday night.
May 25 - 27: Spring Ordeal at
Camp Buck Toms
Aug 10 - 12: Fall Ordeal at Camp Buck Toms
If someone
else should be the point of contact for your troop, please let me know
as soon as possible.
Also... If your troop has an OA Representative, or If your troop
would be willing to provide a team for one or more elections (especially
if you were not able to do so last year), ...please send this
information to the Toqua Election Chairman for this year:
